Jett and I found out we were pregnant after about of month of living together. I had just left the unemployment life and accepted a new job with a pay cut from my role with the Stripers. One of the first things I did after celebrating Baby M was FREAK OUT! Babies are expensive, right? I immediately started seeking out baby freebies. I surprisingly found out that most of the things advertised as free weren’t actually free, you had to pay for shipping which would be $15 or something crazy. So, which baby freebies are actually free?

I love the Target Baby Welcome Bag because it came with a cute, gender-neutral reusable bag. The little big deal book also has a coupon for 50% off a Starbucks drink from a Target Starbucks. I picked up my Target gift bag early on in my pregnancy and when it came time to start purchasing things myself the coupons were expired. I went to Customer Service and they gave me another gift bag! I have a friend who mentioned she was able to pick up a few gift bags as well. Don’t take advantage of the system, but if you run into a problem similar to me you should be in luck!

I love that this welcome box includes a muslin swaddle and a onesie. Muslin swaddles are great for babies who are born in warmer seasons or warmer climates. Your little babe can be snug and cool at the same time. The muslin swaddles also have a lot of give to them which makes swaddling easier. This particular swaddle also has a handy little swaddle how-to label which is perfect for Daddy!

The Keepsake Card set is a unique gift in this box. It includes cards for each month and milestones for baby. The cards are thick and durable, plus the sprinkles are super cute!
Babylist
How to score these freebies
I am a big fan of Babylist. Babylist is a baby registry where you can aggregate gifts from any store into one central place. One of the best features of Babylist is when viewing your registry all the places an item is sold are listed along with the price from each retailer. It’s very easy to import your registries from other sites, I would recommend creating your Babylist registry last and then directing family and friends to this registry website.
This Welcome Box is technically not free, you will have to pay $9.99 for shipping but I thought it was worth it. One of my favorite gifts in this box is the wooden “One day old” circle.
Enfamil
How to score these freebies
Whether you plan to formula feed or not, I suggest signing up for formula freebies. Breastfeeding may not be the right choice for you and baby, baby may not gain enough weight, you may get sick or injured and be unable to feed/pump- there are a whole slew of possibilities and it’s free- so why not?
Sign up for Enfamil Family Beginnings and in a week or so you will get your box of goodies, easy peasy!

I love all the sample baby soaps and lotions in these boxes. After reading a few different articles regarding bathing baby I picked up that babies don’t need daily baths and it isn’t recommended to use soap every time. I figured these little samples would last me a while and I asked a mommy friend and she said they will last a very long time. Her son is about a year old and they have never bought baby soap or lotion!
