It’s hard to believe we’ve been cloth diapering for an entire year. It’s so natural to us and despite a few issues with our bidet, we’re looking forward to cloth diapering baby #2 too!

Most of our “stash” at the beginning was either Alvababy or Mama Koala. We did figure out pretty quickly that we prefer Mama Koala.
So, what exactly is it that we love about Mama Koala?
- The pocket is very wide which is easier for Jett with his big hands to stuff.
- There are less buttons than Alvababy diapers which makes them slightly less confusing for people who change him such as the church nursery, daycare or babysitters.
- The inserts are longer than most. They used to have snaps but they are transitioning to folds. The long inserts are great because you can fold the top over for extra coverage in certain areas.
- Mama Koala diapers come in this big organza bag that is great for holding loose baby toys. I put his cars, alphabet blocks, musical instruments and more in these bags. It’s great because they’re pretty durable, big and best of all- see through!
