Milk bath photoshoots are every pregnant woman’s dream!
This was something I dreamed of doing from the moment we bought our house. When we first moved to North Carolina we rented a house; The plan was to wait to buy a house until I figured out where I would be working. In August, I was hired at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and we began looking for houses shortly after.
We bought a house in Hampstead(the halfway point between Camp Lejeune and UNCW) in October.
I remember walking into the master bath and drooling at the sight of the huge bathtub. I knew I wanted to do a milk bath photoshoot once I was showing enough.
Milk Bath How-To
The milk bath was so easy and affordable to create! I bought one container of powdered coffee creamer from Dollar Tree and a bouquet from the grocery store, in all I barley spent $15! The trick is to put the powdered creamer in as you’re running the water.
I bought the flowers the day before our photoshoot and cut the ends before putting them in a vase to open up. When it came time to prep the bath, I cut the stems off of the flowers and left about an inch and a half. I purposely bought wider, more shallow flowers that would lay on top of the water nicely. I’m not sure roses would have quite the same effect, so keep your flower type in mind when shopping.
I recommend getting situated in the bath first and then softly placing the flowers in the water around you. Then, start shooting!
